Himalayan Adventurers, nestled in Himachal Prades's little town of Manali, started operations in 1986. It continues to pioneer new adventure and cultural tours in the surrounding himalayas, without sparing the most remote areas of Himachal, Ladakh, Spiti and Garhwal. Today Himalayan Adventurers offers a vast range of adventure and cultural - based programs and is operating various tour curcuits in this part of Himalayas.

Our Location
We are located in the sylvan hill resort of Manali, in the district of kullu of the mountainous state of Himachal Pradesh, lying due south of Ladakh, in India. Manali is strategically located at the foot of the 3978 mts. high Rohtang pass, on the ancient trade route to Ladakh and beyond. It was here that the restocking of the caravan used to take place before crossing the Rohtang pass into the vast, barren, rocky, rugged, mostly uninhabited and inhospitable high altitude land of the Western Himalayan cold desert. This huge area, comprising Ladakh, Zanskar, Lahaul & Spiti and eastern Tibet is part of the ancient central Asian land trade (caravan) route, also connecting the cities of northern India. Our location also makes it the ideal jumping pad for the treks / jeep safaris to the north, into the uniquely beautiful, high region of the Lahaul Spiti, Zanskar & Ladakh; to the south, east & west into the regions of contrasting beauty of deep green forests, numerous lakes, streams, rivers and waterfall and the green fields of the spellbindingly beautiful valleys of the Kangra, Chamba, and Kullu. These lower Himalayan foothills, dominated by the snow capped peaks of the majestic Dhauladhar, pir panjal and the Kinnaur ranges are rightly called the playground of the Gods.

A skiing fanatic in the early days of youth. One of the founder members of the first skiing club (Winter Sports Club) in Manali. started skiing ate the age of 11 years on the improvised woodenskies. Won the best skier award in 1978 and remained in serious skiing till 1986. in late seventies and early eighties, he made small climbing expeditions in the mountains around Manali and also skied down the mountain peaks of Patalsu and Brigue. After completing the graduate degree started Himalayan Adventurers, one of the first Adventure and Cultural tour Operation Company in manali. Since then involved in pioneering, new tour programs in the Western Himalayas. He was the first to operate the Grand Western Himalayan Jeep Safari from Shimla to Ladakh in 1993. This now is a well-known tour circuit in the Western Himalayas. Traveled comprehensively all over the Western Himalayas, including Zanskar, ladakh and Spiti, Garhwal and the remote areas of Himachal. He has made a deep research of these areas, their unique and ancient culture and traditions. Now actively involved in promoting new and hidden areas in Western Himalaya.
